Facial Veins, Red Spots & Rosacea

What are spider veins?

Despite their name, facial veins are not true “veins”. The medical term is telangiectasias; blood vessels that have become permanently enlarged and visible. They can be classified according to their appearance as linear, branching, spider and punctuate.

They are usually found in fair-skinned people. Not usually considered a medical problem, they can be a cosmetic concern because they are difficult to cover with make up.

Rosacea is a chronic (long-term) skin disease that is often misdiagnosed as adult acne. It is characterized by redness, pimples, flushing, and in advanced stages thick skin. This skin condition usually affects the face. Rosacea can become a medical and cosmetic concern for those who suffer from this disease and have not obtained any control of their symptoms with the conventional treatment

The IPL system coagulates and destroys facial veins and broken capillaries, while leaving the surrounding skin unchanged and unharmed. Results can be seen immediately or in a few weeks.

A series of three to six treatments may be necessary, depending on your skin type and condition.
